How do I schedule a trip?
Simply call us at (757) 605-0605 or fill in a service request online using our service request form. Transportation services should be scheduled at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
Why doesn’t my insurance cover this trip?
Accent provides non-emergency transportation. Most insurance carriers will cover the cost of an ambulance transport if it is an emergency or “Medically Necessary”. In order for a non emergency transport to be medically necessary, it requires that the patient be bed-confined and unable to be moved by any means other than a stretcher. Contact your insurance provider for further information.
Is this covered by Medicaid/Medicare/TriCare?
Medicare and TriCare do not normally cover wheelchair transportation. Medicaid does provide wheelchair transportation however; Accent is not a Medicaid provider.
How much will my trip cost?
Fees are based on mileage and whether the client can walk or needs a wheelchair. Contact us for a price quote.
Do you wait for me while I’m at my appointment?
Your driver will drop you off at your appointment and present you with a phone number to call when your appointment is complete.
How do I pay for services?
We prefer you pay for your trip at the time of service. You may pay with cash, by check or with credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Discover)
Can you take me shopping?
Our primary mission is to provide transportation for medical and dental appointments.
Can you take me to the airport?
We provide wheelchair transportation to and from the airport.
Is there a penalty for cancelling a trip?
Should there be a need to cancel transportation, call us and cancel within 12 hours of your scheduled pick up time. You may also cancel when Accent calls to verify your pick up time. If our vehicle arrives at your house and you decline the trip or are not present, you will be charged a cancellation fee. (This fee will not be charged if we cannot reach you by phone prior to dispatching the vehicle).
